South of Libbie Client Highlight
I met Christine from South of Libbie at the Make Things Happen conference in March. After meeting her, I immediately went onto her etsy shop and fell in love with her projects.
South of Libbie is a custom monogram business that creates linens for your home and table. She is also a magnificent host and has all sorts of tips and tricks on throwing dinner parties.

She reached out after she felt like her branding blended in with the rest of the monogram companies logos and she didn’t feel like it reflected her personality or her purpose for South of Libbie.
What truly made me fall in love with the South of Libbie brand, not just the products, was the story behind it. Christine has a sentimental and family-centered heart. If you were raised in the south then chances are you probably spent a lot of time around the dinner table eating meals with family. There was no tv allowed, it was special time that was spent sharing a meal and good conversation. And those are the memories that Christine wants to encourage her customers to make through her products.
As we went through the discovery and moodboard process, sentimental and vintage items were very important to bring into the branding. And we wanted to create a brand that was sophisticated but friendly, high-end but approachable, and traditional but southern.
Her submark shape was inspired by a vintage door handle that we found nad used in her moodboard, and we brought in elements from her hometown in Charleston, which is known for its hospitality.
Together we also created among her stationery suite a small booklet that tells the story of South of LIbbie, encourages her customers with tips for hosting and includes helpful instructions on how to care for their linens.
We are so happy with how the South of Libbie branding came out and truly reflects Christine’s personality and the meaning behind the business.
